Let’s Bale offers small conventional hay bales all year round. Let’s Bale’s hay is a crop that is grown specifically for the purpose of creating hay; the field is harvested before the grains go to seed. This keeps valuable nutrients in the stalks and makes for a much more well-rounded diet for horses and other forms of livestock. Different types of hay are available with different nutritional values and usage: Meadow, Red Clover, Lucerne as well as Meadow/Red Clover and a Lucerne/Meadow Mixes. These types are all grown as feed crops for animals from horses to rabbits. The nutritional value of hay is also based on when it has been harvested; early maturity harvests could contain more nutrients that the hay which is harvested closer to seed production. In regards to horses, the type of dietary requirements and the type of horse could mean a difference in type, quality and quantity of hay which is used.
The team of Let’s Bale understands the importance of good quality hay for horses as we are also heavily involved in the equestrian industry ourselves.
